19th December (lina paul interview)

New Interview on Setting Sun (http://www.geocities.com/aen1mpo)

Typical! All goes quiet on the ‘Setting Sun’ front interview side of things for a bit, and then not one, not two but three interviews come in within days of each other…

First up, the beautiful Olof Arnalds, then the harder ‘The Human Value’ and now another quieter but undeniabley beautiful music from Hamburg (Germany) based Judith aka Lina Paul, whose music transcribing my own notes to you from the introduction to the interview ‘ Lina Paul aka. Judith is perhaps akin to my friend and long term favourite of ‘Setting Sun’ Emelie aka. Everygreen Days in vocal style, but closer to Cat Power I guess in style on certainly her more sparse tracks like ‘Empty Stairs… Other tracks like the epic ‘This wave’s length’ is much
More epic and tense stretching out to over nine minutes heading out to
Sigor Ros style music with layer upon layer of music building up

Slowly.

The interview can be read here:
